Athletic Club
Farmington Turner Athletic Club
In January 1980 the Farmington Turner
Society purchased 10 acres of land from the Charles Weinreich farm to build a ballpark facility. The land was
purchased for $17,000. Shortly after, the Farmington Turner
Athletic Club (FTAC) was organized. In the Turner tradition
of promoting athletics and fulfilling a long-time dream, a
ballpark was constructed. Excavating work was done by H.J.
Wolf Excavating of West Bend and the entire area was seeded.
The concession stand and the fencing was put up in 1981and
the ball diamond was put to use. The lights were installed
in 1982. The ball diamond was used for many weekend
tournaments. At the present time one adult league plays on
Tuesday night and the balance of the time it is used by the
Farmington Youth Leagues. In 2005 another ball diamond was
constructed to the west of the original diamond. This
diamond began play in the 2006 ball season.
